Ballot Order
(Also called the Declaration of Election by Voting)
On Monday, September 21st at 9am, in council chambers, the process for deciding what order candidate's names would appear on the ballot took place. This was an open event, although the only candidates that to attended were myself and one other.
The process was simple - all of the name were printed on identical slips of paper, and folded in an identical manner. They were then put into a beautifully crafted basket, shaken, and then slips were drawn by a neutral party. The order that the slips were chosen is the order that the names will appear on the ballot. (It was pure coincidence that my name landed at the top, and had nothing to do with the fact that I was there in person. The other candidate in attendance ended up close to the middle of the list.)
